Many thanks to everyone who came by to vote on yet another battle on my list
of such things; For the Birds! Yep, this was another one of those battles – with a twist I enjoyed immensely, thanks (and a warm welcome) to
the newest member of Battle of the Bands, Boromax
(a.k.a. Ed) at Trivial Music Silliness who
suggested I check out the Johnathan Livingston Seagull soundtrack. What an
enriching experience! Much obliged, Ed ;-)
Honestly, I’m not even near the end of my list of ‘Bird’ songs, but it feels
like time to move on to another theme. I know, I said this last month. But if
the wayward Ides of March have their way, the birds that still huddle close on
the wire will want to have their say!
I appreciate you all stopping by to see how my battle went ;-) Be sure to
check the other battle results available at the links located in the top right
column of this page.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

rust.”
Joni's tune was a bit challenging, but I really did like the sound of it. Nice Battle that introduced me to songs that I must have forgotten or never heard before.

Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for coming by, Lee.
DeleteIt could be lack of familiarity with Joni's song that contributed to the outcome. I liked it - just not as much as Bad Company.
ReplyDeleteA thoughtful conclusion ;-) I agree.
DeleteThe birds are going to fly the coop?!
ReplyDeleteSay it ain't so!
Bring back the birds!!
(Hmmm.... I just had a thought: Did The Byrds ever do a song that mentions a bird?)
I'll bet Joni's mad about how this turned out. But she should have known better than to hang around Bad Company!

Well, not immediately. But yeah, it's getting time for the birds to fly ;-)
DeleteDid the Byrds ever do a "Bird" song? Not that I could find. But now I've got a mind to hear Turn Turn turn ;-)
Thanks, and to your brother too, for help in keeping 'bad company' in good standing.
